Careers In Childcare
Kidz Play encourages all their staff to train towards professional qualifications within child care. Both Hampshire and Southampton offer a wide range of Childcare courses, ranging from one day workshops to National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ’s).
All staff are contracted to train in:
- First Aid
- Child Protection
- Food & Hygiene
- Health & Safety
- Manual Handling
On completion of the above all playworkers are encouraged to undertake a N.V.Q in playwork, starting at Level 2.
Many Kidz Play staff continue onto NVQ Level 3, which then allows them to become a play leader in their own club.
